Nintendo DS är inte efterföljare till Gameboy Advance!

Nintendo har själva sagt att DS ska existera sida vid sida med Revolution och nästa riktiga Gameboy.

Despite the GameCube's continued struggle to gain a foothold in the UK market, things are looking much rosier for the system in other parts of Europe.

Nintendo has announced that GameCube sales in Germany have surpassed those of Microsoft's Xbox, with 26 per cent of the market share in the region, second only to Sony's PlayStation 2.

With Nintendo's stellar line-up of games coming to Europe this Christmas, such as Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Paper Mario 2 and Tales Of Symphonia, perhaps we will see more of the same results across the rest of Europe.

Nya nyheter om Revolution!!!

Nintendo's insistence that it's not interested in online gaming was undermined recently when the company re-filed a patent for an internet-capable add-on. The patent refers to a device that has "hard-disk drive and Internet capability" and was originally filed in 1999 for the doomed 64DD device for the N64. However, Nintendo's decision to re-file the patent suggests the company is planning some online features for the Revolution, despite Iwata-san's claims to the contrary.

The other, more underhand, reason is that Nintendo may be attempting to put a stop to Microsoft's increasingly popular Xbox Live service, as the American giant would be infringing on this 'catch-all' online gaming patent. We hope this isn't the case, and that Nintendo is just expressing an interest in going online.

MK: Deception till GC!!!

Although Mortal Kombat Deception was previously exclusive to PS2 and Xbox, Midway has announced that the title will also arrive on the Gamecube. As always, the Gamecube version of the game will not feature online play (whereas the PS2 and Xbox version will), but Midway stated that they will add some exclusive features in order to make it up to Gamecube owners.

The PS2 and Xbox versions of Mortal Kombat Deception will ship this October. The Gamecube version, however, will not be released until sometime in the first half of 2005.

12 Aug 04 Prepare for a game of Sim Titty. Playboy: The Mansion is an empire building sim where your empire is a soft porn mag, and building it up is a case of enlisting ever more top-heavy totty to get 'em out for the lads next to articles on rock climbing and rimming.

It looks like The Sims, right down to the way you give commands to Hugh 'more poontang than hot dinners' Heffner, looking resplendent in his smoking jacket. The sections where you work out what's going in your magazine sound a little too much like work to us, but it could be an interesting.

As well as putting together your mag, you have to manage Heff's social life, decorating his mansion and throwing parties to influence the rich and famous. That as well as watching scantily clad Playmates jump up and down on a trampoline while standing awfully close.

In concept, this is the best management game ever, but it could well turn out to be a cheap cash-in, albeit with lovely great norks. We'll let you know which when we've seen more.

Enligt www.totalgames.net har Capcom uttalat sig om att de ska ge "Revolution" sitt fulla stöd, och tänker ha spel färdiga till releasen av nästa generations konsoler då de släpps (Vilket enligt dom själva ska vara under hösten 2005). Detta dementerar ett rykte som kom bara veckorna tidigare om att Revolution ska släppas i Japan mitt under 2006. Detta innebär att försäljningsciffrorna kommer att bli en bra bit bättre än GC:s och N64:s, då dessa konoler släpptes två år efter konkurrenternas.

Dessutom har de första bilderna på GTA:Advance kommit fram.

Nintendo tänker släppa en handkontroll med inbyggd mikrofon i samband med releasen av nästa Mario Party.

Dessutom ska nästa Splintercell släppas till GC samtidigt som till de andra konsolerna, till skildnad från Pandora Tomorrow.
