Two corrupt cops, Frank Tenpenny and Eddie Pulaski pick up Carl Johnson from the airport. Rather than escorting him to the safety of his family home, the pair throw CJ from a moving car, into rival gang territory. Swipe the BMX, and rapidly tap ‘X’ to escape. CJ sways from side to side, to pick up momentum. Peddle to the cul-de-sac, where CJ grew up. Mission Complete.

Menace

Upon arrival, CJ meets Ryder, an old friend very passionate about the Orange Grove Families, CJ’s gang. Their chat takes places in front of the Badfellas poster (A poster advertising a fictional movie; also appears in GTA3 & Vice City). The owner of Well Stacked Pizza has dis-respected the Orange Grove Families, by clearing the gang graffiti tag from his walls. Ryder invites CJ to pay a visit to the owner, and teach him a harsh lesson. They hop in a pick-up truck, and head off to the pizza store. Before arriving, CJ has the opportunity to get a haircut at Old Reece’s hair facial studio. The couple enter the pizza store, and CJ distracts the owner by ordering ‘The Full Rack’, the largest meal on the menu. The owner brandishes a 12-gauge shotgun, forcing CJ & Ryder to leg it. They return to the neighbourhood.

Ryder is not in the best mood when Carl walks in.

Ryder: "Man, what are you doing here?"

Carl: "Yo, im seeing my homie!"

Ryder: "Hey homie hey, its good to see you back, man."

Carl: "Oh, no homie love, no hug?" (Action Sequence: Carl and Ryder move in to hug when Carl suddenly notices that Ryder is armed, carrying a hand gun.)

Carl: "Yo, why are arming yourself, man?"

Ryder: "Man, some liquor store keeps painting over my graffiti, man! My writing is beautiful! Teach the owner a lesson! This is the families hood. You down?

Carl: "Im always down."

Ryder: "Yeah? Hmm, lets go homie."

Drive-By

Drive-by shooting.

The Orange Grove Families are planning an attack on a local gang, the Ballas. A drive-by shooting will take place, and CJ is given the job as driver. All four members enter the vehicle, and off they go. When the Ballas are spotted at the side of the road, Sweet, Smoke, and Ryder automatically lean out of the car, and attack. Weave the car back and forth, up and down, to avoid incoming bullets from the Ballas. After destroying the group of Ballas, it’s off to find the next. However, the attack has caught the attention of the local cops, and a chase begins. Visit the Pay n’ Spray, to get rid of the cops. Mission accomplished, the OGF are back in business. Whenever you enter Balla territory, there is sure to be trouble.

The Orange Grove Family Gang are planning on arousing anger with the Ballas, which is when Carl walks in.

Ryder: "I can drive as well as Carl man, Im telling you, hey, what's up homie?" (Action Sequence: Carl walks into the room.)

Carl: "Yo, what were you saying about me homie?"

Ryder: "Im saying that the east coast made you drive like and idiot, homie! Man, you always crashing cars and s----, and know somehow your back. All it is, is Carl drive there, Carl drive there."

Smoke: "Man, why don't you take it easy dude?"

Ryder: (Aimed to: Carl) "Look, no offense man, but you cant drive for s----!"

Carl: "Well thanks man! No, no, no - say what you really mean."

Smoke: (Aimed to: Ryder) "Your such as good gun there homeboy, you got to ride shotgun. So Carl, what's up?"

Ryder: "Hey your right, yeah, Carl, you can drive homie, come on."

Reuniting The Families

The heads of all the local gangs sit down in and try to settle their differences, to avoid a war. They meet at the St Brutus Hotel, and Sweet represents the Orange Grove Families. Suddenly, a police chopper appears over the car park, and police raid the building. The rest of the crew make an escape, leaving Carl to enter the building, and save his brother. The more cops you kill, the better CJ’s accuracy gets. A dying gangster points CJ in the right direction. Sweet and Carl escape the building, jump in the car, driven by Smoke, and they head off. CJ is the shootist. Shotgun the helicopter, causing it to crash, and shoot off the police cars coming from behind. (Hint: Target the tyres). One of the cops miraculously grabs onto the back of your vehicle. Shoot him off at point blank range, and another jumps onto the bonnet. Smoke drives down a tight alley, blocked by another police chopper. The chopper has its blades pointed towards the ground, creating an unstoppable barrier. The pair jump out of the car, and the bonneted cop gets sliced by the whirring rotor.

Carl, Ryder and Smoke are talking and watching television when Carl's older brother Sweet walks in.

Smoke: (Aimed to: Sweet) "Hey, what's up yo? What's up man?"

Sweet: "Hey, turn that television off right quick. Listen up fellas, like we were saying, no more base in the streets."

Smoke: "Finally!"

Sweet: "Yeah. We are going to unite the families once more. The Flats been pumping our guys full of base for too long while we argued most ourselves. Now, all the family sets are going to meet at the St. Brutus Motel. I say its time we go down and make it official, keep that s--- off our streets. I'll go. Im our representative on this one."

Smoke: "Hey, its all good. Sweet, think you can handle this? Im down with you."

Sweet: "Alright, lets roll homies."

Mission Title Unkown

CJ's friend is being hunted by a local gang. CJ must obtain a certain truck, and act as a decoy so that his friend can escape. The local gang (On bikes) chase the truck, assuming that CJ's friend is driving, and not CJ himself. The bikers weave in and out of busy traffic, and through countryside roads. If the bikers manage to shoot through the doors of the truck, and identify Carl, they'll go after his friend instead. CJ must avoid detection, and drive a certain distance, until the bikers give up. Your cellphone rings, and your buddy is safe. CJ earns $400 upon successful completion.
